Amelia Earhart was just a young girl when she first saw a plane flying at the Iowa State Fair. This created a real passion in Amelia and set her on her journey for wanting to fly herself.
Amelia Earhart wanted to fly because she saw daredevils do stunts on a plane and she built a roller coaster and flew in the air.
No woman had ever flown around the world (at that time) except as a passenger.
Because when she was little she went to a flight show with her dad(:
maybe because she wanted to be the first women to fly a plane.
Because no woman had done it yet, but 2 others were almost ready to fly it and she wanted to be first.

Because after seeing a display by flying ace Bert Hawkes, she was fascinated by doing it herself.
