Aphrodite is the goddess of love: love is the nature of her domain, thus the love of Helen and Paris.
The golden apple was supposed to be given to 'the fairest'. Three goddesses claimed to be the fairest: Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Zeus told Paris to be the judge. Each of the goddesses tried to bribe Paris. Aphrodite promised him the most beautiful woman on earth, Helen. So Paris gave Aphrodite the apple, and Aphrodite helprd him to abduct Helen, from Sparta to Troy.
Aphrodite promises Paris the love of the most beautiful woman in the world, this being Helen, if Paris chooses Aphrodite for the apple inscribed "for the fairest".
The love of Helen.
Aphrodite promised Paris the love of the most beautiful mortal woman if he chose her as the fairest goddess. As a result, Aphrodite influenced Helen's feelings and actions to fall in love with Paris, leading to the events of the Trojan War.
Aphrodite made her fall in love with Paris.
Aereas was the son of Aphrodite. Helen was the most beautiful woman whom Aphrodite had promised in love to Paris.
Helen was given to Paris as a gift by Aphrodite. In "The Judgement of Paris" he is instructed by Zeus to give a golden apple to the fairest goddess. The apple was inscribed "to the fairest" and was thrown on the table at a banquet by Eris when she was not invited. Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite all claim the apple. Each of the three goddesses attempts to bribe Paris with gifts in exchange for the apple. Hera promises to make him powerful; Athena promises to make him wise; Aphrodite promises the most beautiful woman in the world - Helen of Troy.
Helen was not a goddess, she was a queen. Hera, Aphrodite, and Athena had an argument over who was the greatest. To decide, they went to a mortal prince named Paris. and each offered him a bribe: Hera power, Athena victory in battle, and Aphrodite the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chose Aphrodite, who helped him take Helen from her husband Menelaus. This started the Trojan War. Whether Helen went willingly or not is unknown. After the war ended, Menelaus brought her back to Sparta.
Aphrodite spirited Helen away to Troy to be with Paris.
This was basicially the argument that started the Trojan war. the argument was between Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Paris was chosen to judge, but Aphrodite decided she couldn't lose, so she bribed Paris that if he voted for her, he could have Helen as a prize... of course Helen was the wife of Menalaus at the time, but Paris didn't care and he took the bribe. So, it's really a matter of opinion, but I wouldn't get caught taking sides.
When the three goddess were warring over who is the most beautiful, each of them offered Paris something. Aphrodite offered him the love of Helen, the most beautiful mortal at that time, and so Paris named her the most beautiful goddess and gave her the Golden Apple.
