Every composer that has choosen to write three or more symphonies has composed a Symphony No. 3. A short list of composers who have written a Symphony No. 3 include: Beethoven - 9 Symphonies Mozart - 41 Symphonies Haydn - 104 Symphonies
Beethoven started this work in 1818 and it was completed in 1824. Beethoven's sketchbooks are also showing that the first bits of material that appeared in the symphony were written in 1811. This symphony is also the last symphony beethoven composed.
Beethoven's Fifth was the first symphony to include trombones.

Yes. The final movement of Beethoven's famous Symphony no.5 in C minor was scored for trombone. It was, in fact, the first time the trombone was used by Beethoven (though not the first time the trombone was used in a symphony). The trombone was also used in Beethoven's Sixth Symphony (the Pastorale) and his Ninth Symphony (the Choral).

The final movement of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony contain the first symphonic use (by Beethoven) of the trombone and the piccolo.
Beethoven wrote his second symphony in 1801-1802. It is surprisingly light-hearted in tone, considering Beethoven wrote it right at the time he realized he was becoming progressively more deaf.
