Benjamin Franklin tied a key to his kite to prove his theory that electricity could be more like a fluid and pass through one object in to another. It is believed that he tied an iron key to the end of the kite.
He did this, as electricity goes through metal.
for the balance of electricity from lightning to hand the key=negative and the hand=positive
It wasnt an electric kite. He was trying to make light, by making lightning strike the kite, go down the string, and make light a appear in the bulb. P.s. your welcome ;)
bc he felt like it
Because he liked electricity!

because
That electricity can pass through metal. There was a key on the kite.
because the kite string does not conduct electricity, the key does.
