Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939. Britain and France then declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939
The Ussr, Britain, The US, and France because they were the strongest world leaders after the war had ended
Well, World War One and World War Two have both been called "The Great War." This is posted in the WW2 section, so I'll answer this as if you were referring to it. Germany declared war on Poland, technically starting the war. Britain and France were allied with Poland, so they declared war on Germany, and the rest is history.
Poland,France and great Britain because Germany and Japan tried to expand and Great Britain and France disagreed. They issued a statement and Hitler declined. WW2 started when Hitler and the Nazis invaded Poland, so Great Britain and France declared war against Germany on September the 1st, 1939.
First was the war of 1812, last was WW2.
Britain and France both declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939 - two days after Germany had attacked Poland.
France and Britain were allies in both WW1 and WW2 even when much of France surrendered in WW2
no the beginning of the second world war (ww2) was the 1st of September 1939 when Germany invaded Poland Britain and France declared war !!!
In WW2 the French and Britain said they would declare war on Germany if they attacked Poland. When Nazi Germany invaded Poland France and Britain declared war on Germany. Then Germany stormed French.
Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939. Britain and France then declared war on Germany on 3 September 1939
It's all about promises. In WW1 Britain promised to protect Belgium and after Germany invaded them to get to France war was declared upon Germany from Britain. In WW2 Britain had agreed to protect and help Poland in all military scuffles and when Germany invaded and refused to leave Poland Britain declared war upon Germany.
Germany attacked Poland in September, 1 1939. A German ship attacked a Polish town then France and Britain declared war and they did absoloutely nothing in 1939
Britain & France fought against Germany in WW1 & WW2. I think it might be difficult to find a way of establishing that Britain & France caused War in Europe.
Indeed, When Germany invaded Poland they had intentions to only begin an eatward expanse against Russia but since Poland was an ally of France and Britain they declared war, Germany wasnt excpecting Britain and France to declare war so they invaded France and then Britain FURTHER pulling America into the war because they were allies with Britain, now Germany changed the battle plan and attacked North Africa, If France and Britain hadnt declared war on Germany first then ww2 could have been unavoidable and Germany couldve just went on to face Russia =D
WW2 started on 3rd Sep. 1939 when Gt Britain declared war on Germany.
it didnt Hitler started the war by invading Poland. then France declared war on Germany. this is how ww2 started!
Germany lost WW2, they did not beat Britain and whilst they 'occupied' France they withdrew after being defeated by allied forces.
