Why did Cassie become a singer?

To be brutally honest, most people [a big part of them in the music industry as well] believe that Cassie only became a singer, because that would help boost her self higher into the modeling business. Because if you actually read her biographies or when she speaks on it her self, she is constantly stating that she pushed talks of college out of the way, and had originally moved to New York to become a MODEL. Because if you actually look at it, if she hadn't of ran into Ryan Leslie at a nightclub, she would still be unknown.

And this may sound harsh, but it is actually the truth, she has no real vocal talent. Anybody can actually sing like Cassie. I'm not "hating" on her because she is very beautiful, but as far as having the longevity of a real singer [like her quite obvious idol Aaliyah] or Janet Jackson or whomever, she has nothing compared to that. Her performances were even recalled by Diddy as being "rocky." And she even her self said that she had stage fright.

Just like many others, I believe she only became a "singer" because she needed that fame to become a bigger starlet as a model.
