Lindbergh knew that weight was critical, so he did everything possible to carry as little weight as possible - which meant carrying as few provisions as he could.
In order to make the plane as light as possible.

He wanted to make the plane as light as possible (less weight = MORE GAS).
The airplane named Spirit of St. Louis was flown from Roosevelt Field in Garden City, Long Island, a few miles east of New York City, to Le Bourget Field in Paris by Charles "Lucky Lindy" Lindbergh.
Around May 1932, Charle's decomposed body was found a few yards away from the Lindbergh's family estate and autopsy ruled out that the Lindbergh baby sadly perished from a fractured skull and was possibly murdered shortly after he was abducted.

Anne Morrow Lindbergh. she only died a few years ago. contray to popular opinion Lindbergh was never romantically linked to Amelia Earhart, which many people falsely believe, from the shared occupation- and also the nickname Lady Lindy which could be falsely ilnterpreted to mean Lindbergh"s wife. Both sides Lindbergh and Morrow families were actively involved in -Politics! red visors are up!
Good question. They met a few times, but were not romanitically involved. Lindbergh had a sick ( old Army Game) appetite for practical jokes, and he pulled one involving dousing her with water ( from the Pacific, sorry !) as some sort of joke about an Ocean Hop. They were certainly not Romantioally inclined. Lindbergh"s wife lived until quite recent times. ( Anne Morrow Lindbergh)/
The Lindbergh baby, Charles Lindbergh Jr., was not murdered. He was abducted from his home in 1932 and a ransom was paid, but unfortunately, he was found dead a few months later not far from the Lindbergh home. The cause of death was determined to be a blow to the head.
Charles Lindbergh was an American pilot, author, inventor, explorer, and social activist. He is most well known for being the first to fly nonstop AND solo across the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Paris (he was not the first to fly across the Atlantic Ocean). A few of his nicknames were Slim, Lucky Lindy, and Lone Eagle. Much more information can be found by visiting the links below.
She is no longer living. She died a few years ago, oddly around the same time Cowgirl Dale Evans died. naturally the celluloid cowgirl got more attention, posthumously, than the real life aviatrix and writer.
