Because they both have the same culture.
South Korea, since I'm American and nk isn't gonna help me out at all.
China wants stability in North Korea to ensure that its neighbor does not collapse, which could lead to a flood of refugees and potentially pose a security threat. China also wants to maintain its influence over North Korea as a strategic buffer against the United States and its allies in the region. Additionally, China seeks to prevent the reunification of the Korean Peninsula under a pro-Western government, as it would diminish China's regional influence.
In North Korea and China during the Korean war. He got fired by Truman for that.
HUH? Last time Korea was isolated was right after the Opium Wars in China. They didn't want the same thing to happen in Korea. South Korea never had a policy of isolation. If you're talking about North Korea, If life sucks as bad as it does in North Korea, would you like your people to know that people outside of North Korea actually have 3 meals a day? North Korea is so successful in isolation, people in North Korea think they are better off than the people in South Korea.
Even though China is all but capitalistic nowadays, it's still ruled by the Communist Party and therefore, it considers North Korea an ally. China does not always approve the way the Kim family rules N. Korea but it does not want South Korea to win either because it would mean many North Korean refugees would come over to China and also for pro-US forces (the South Koreans) and US forces themselves to be directly on the Chinese border.
Because North Korea was on the verge of defeat and China did not want western military forces near her border...
Seoul is the capital of South Korea. You may want to rephrase your question. The capital of North Korea is Pyongyang. Do you want the temp in N. or S. Korea?
Funny, this is the exact same thing I have on my English packet... hmmm... Anyway, all I found was a prisoners of war conflict in which South Korea didn't want to return their POWs to North Korea, which wasn't acceptable to North Korea or China. Eventually, South Korea was pursuaded to return the POWs, however
Me
By the time of the Korean War, the Soviet Union had nuclear weapons and was allied with China and North Korea. Using a nuclear weapon there could have triggered a nuclear war between the US and the USSR.
The United States did not want an election.
Neither North or South Korea wants war with the US.
