Jesus was referring to the Holly Spirt, who lives inside of us. The Holly Spirit, Jesus and God are all one, so Jesus really lives inside of us, judging and guiding us. He will never actually "go away". He meant that the flesh of Christ would leave, but that his guiding protecting hand would always be with us. Hebrews 13:5 - "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leaveyou; never will I forsake you.'"

Why is the holy spirit god?

After Jesus was crucified and he arose again, he had told the disciples that he would send the holy ghost in his place as a comforter and guide. The scripture says the Holy Spirit is God. Scripture never differentiates between ones spirit and ones-self. For a specific scripture reference go to Romans 8:1-27. In this section of scripture you can see that "God," "The Spirit" and "Christ" are interchangeable.

What if Christ returns and you never heard the story of Christ?

-----------------------If Christ returns and you never heard the story of Christ, you would want to know who this man was and where he came from. If Christ never returns and you never heard the story of Christ, you would continue to be unaware of that story. In the most likely case, if Christ never returns and you have heard the story of Christ, you might have followed Pascal's wager - believing that Christ will return, just in case it does happen.Answer:There are so many conflicting stories and beliefs and confusion about Christ in the world, that those who haven't heard them won't have anything to "unlearn" when they see Him... and may well be some of the first to accept Him.

What does church of Christ believe about divorce?

The Church of Christ believes that divorce should not happen unless one spouse cheats on the other, then one of them can decide if they want to leave. The one that was cheated on can then marry someone who has never been married, and the one that cheat is to never marry. But that's only if you want to be all proper about it. No one really enforces it. Also if the is spousal abuse, if it is not resolved, the one being abused may leave.
