They did not really know each other that well before marrying. You will never really know someone who has hidden that kind of terror for years. Little bits will rear their ugliness as you try to get close to that person. She was intrigued with his story when reading about it but, to be around the psychopathy of the hurt from day to day is another story. Everything revolved around him...everything. That is hard to compete with. I am speaking from experience. I have a very patient husband. We have been together for 16 years. I tried to tell him of my pain from the beginning. He kept saying keep it in the past. Now he sees the damage, listens and does his part to Help Me Heal. I applaud his resilience. Mr. Pelzer took his pain on the road. She probably felt like she did not matter. I Pray the both find Happiness.
