Why did Desnoes and Geddes Company reduce the size of the Red Stripe bottle to 11.2 ounces while implementing a price increase?

To get an "instant" price increase of 15%. - 12 ounces times 15% = 11.2. Everybody is pulling this stunt lately it seems. Then they can raise the price by however much a little at a time and pull in maybe a total of 20-25%.
