if you haven't noticed Walt Disney NEVER uses the original sad endings in his films mainly because he wanted them to be happy family movies i guess
Nope
in the little mermaid 1 it is called return to the sea
Ariel could either kill the prince or die and she decides to die and become a spirit because she cannot kill the prince because she still loves him even if he still doesn't love her back

Yes! little mermaid ariels beginning is never aired me.
Ariel and Prince Eric get married and Ariel gives birth to little Melody (after her singing voice) The real ending would be the Hans Christian Anderson ending. The little mermaid accepts death rather than kill her prince and return to being a mermaid.
It depends. The original was an exotic fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson. It, of course has a sad ending. The newer versions, mainly by Disney, have happy endings but still retain their exotic fairy tale status. Other categories could include adventure and romance.
The original Little Mermaid story by Hans Christian Andersen is darker and ends tragically, with the mermaid turning into sea foam. The Disney version has a more optimistic tone and a happy ending where Ariel gets her prince and lives happily ever after. Additionally, the character traits and motivations of the main characters are portrayed differently in each version.
Ariel could either kill the prince or die and she decides to die and become a spirit because she cannot kill the prince because she still loves him even if he still doesn't love her back

Mermaids are a myth; they are not real. Movies have been done about them, and there's always a sad ending when the human who has fallen in love with the mermaid must give her up. All depictions of mermaids show them as a typical woman from the waist up, and from the waist down, they have the body of a fish. Popular lore has them living primarily on or near the Island of Crete. As to the original question, swimming cannot make a mermaid. In stories, their home of course is in and around water, but swimming does not a mermaid make. Hollywood does a mermaid make.
