Many factors contributed in the separation of East Pakistan but a few of them are mentioned below:
1. In Elections to choose Premier Leader (Prime Minister) mandate of people of East Pakistan was not taken into account.
2. Indian Secret Intelligence Services formed an Anti Pakistan Wing East Pakistan named as Mukti Bahini which actively participated in persuading Population of East Pakistan to demand for a separate country.
3. Bagla Language being the most prominent language of people of Eastern Pakistan was never given proper acknowledgement
