How did Albert Einstein affect the world?

Albert Einstein affected the world because he made the Einstein refrigerator, the theory of relativity, the equation e=mc2, wormholes, photoelectric effect, etc. Though some believe Einstein invented the atomic bomb, he did not, although he did write to the president of the United States warning of the dangers of such a device. It was physicists like Richard Feynman that worked on the Manhattan project that lead to the creation of the atom bomb.

What impact did Albert Einstein have on World War 2?

He wrote a letter to President Roosevelt telling him that he and other scientists were trying to purify U-235 for Nazi Germany. It could be then used to create an atomic bomb. Then the US Government put the Manhattan Project in action, to research and produce an atomic bomb.

Did Albert Einstein become influenced by World War 2?

It was the other way around. Albert Einstein and another physicist influenced World War 2 when he wrote a letter to President Roosevelt telling him that the Germans were starting on an atom bomb. He suggested the US get an atom bomb made to stop the German Nazis. Roosevelt and his committee chose to follow Einstein's advice and the Manhattan Project was created as well as three atom bombs. However, Einstein disliked the thought of nuclear bombs being made and used. He knew the devastation it would cause. He also was leary of Humans using nuclear physics to create anything.

What was the name given to the project to develop the atomic bomb?

The military project to develop the US atomic bomb was the Manhattan Project. It included the first successful fission chain reaction in December, 1942, and culminated in the first atomic test explosion at Alamagordo, NM on July 16, 1945. Two bombs built under the project were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Why was Albert Einstein famous for the atomic bomb?

Albert Einstein was not directly connected with the development of the atomic bomb. He was a very famous scientist whose name would get the attention of even the highest government officials. He used that fame to ensure that a letter from Fermi about the possibility of an atomic bomb would reach President Roosevelt and would be viewed as a credible letter. This eventually resulted in the creation of the Manhattan Project to develop an atomic bomb. Aside from that initial introductory letter, Einstein had no connection with the Manhattan Project.
