Eminem saw that Beastie Boys were succesful in the days when black guys were at the top of the game, so he decided to dedicate his life to hip-hop. Eminem also said that Beastie Boys mean so much to hip-hop: "The Beastie Boys mean so much, have always meant so much since they came out, and mean so much to Hip Hop". Well, Em had a lot of difficulties in his life, so he decided to pour out his heart in his songs. And he had to show critics what obstacles he had overcome to do this.
