I living in Caerphilly visit, because I really find it intresting to think that this was actually there 100 years ago, and also to find out a bit about the history of the castle that can be very intresting. There is a story and a myth about a ghost spirt known as the green lady. The story says that gilburt decler who was a Norman married a nother french women who evenchly went back to France and then dies of a broken heart because her loved one was killed by gilburt declar. The myth does sound a bit egsagerated but gilburt declar was real. The castle is also the second biggest in Great Britain, and is the biggest of it's kind as well.

Caerphilly Castle was built as a result of of a dispute over land between Earl Gilbert Declare and a local Welsh Prince. During a protracted dispute between the King of England and a portion of his barons. Earl Gilbert Declare who was from Hereford decided to take advantage of the current situation while the King of England was preoccupied with his rebellious English barons. Declare determined that he would take matters into his own hands by using his own private fortune to build a huge fortress in Caerphilly. The building process was began in April of 1268. By 1271 this magnificent edifice was completed. Consequently, Prince Llewellyn Ap Gruffydd was no longer in a position to uphold his claim to the small kingdom Morganwg.

Where is Caernarfon Castle?

Caernarfon CastleIn Welsh: Castell Caernarfon is a medieval building in Gwynedd north-west Wales. There was a motte and bailey castle in the town of Caernarfon from the late 11th century until 1283 when King Edward 1st of England began replacing it with the current stone structure. The Edwardian town and castle acted as the administrative centre of north Wales and as a result the defences were built on a grand scale. There was a deliberate link with Caernarfon's Roman past - nearby is the Roman fort of Seqontium and the castle's walls are reminiscent of the Walls of Constantinople.
