This is a "catch-22" subject. If God knew in advance that Jesus would be killed on a cross and:
1- could have stopped it, but didn't, God was an example of an extremely cruel father.
2- couldn't have stopped it, God is not Omnipotent and therefore is no god.
It would seem that an omnipotent god could have forgiven the people and cleansed them of sin simply by wishing it so!
The crucifixion of Jesus is a foundational event in Christianity as it symbolizes his sacrifice for the sins of humanity. However, without the crucifixion, it is possible that Christianity may have developed in a different way, centered around other teachings and beliefs of Jesus during his lifetime. The crucifixion was pivotal in shaping the faith and theology of Christianity, but not necessarily the only path to its formation.
He did and he said that he would die on the cross for our sins .
No. If this were true, Jesus would not have been nailed to the cross.
Umm, probably that you love Jesus. What else would it mean?
The apostles of Jesus were feared because all they know about Jesus was ,He was the son of a Carpenter and his brother were james, but when they saw Jesus cured many and they saw the miracles they were with Jesus and when Jesus was nailed on the Cross all others ran away and hide themselves fearing the Jewish Solders, no other Disciple were there espect John was with him from the beginning and at the last hour on the cross Jesus said to his mother He is your Son. Because Jesus Knew on the 3rd day He'll be Resurrected and taken into Heaven
Jesus claimed He was the Messiah the Savior and it is TRUE! He died on the cross that we would be recoincilated with Him! HOW AMAZING!!!
Free! Jesus died on the cross for you. He loves you more than you can fathom!
Yes, or our sins would never be forgiven.

The Second Station is the Acceptance of His Cross by Jesus, so it would involve Our Blessed Lord and the soldiers who gave Him the Cross.
