You are confusing two religions.
Christians believe that Jesus Christ came to die for our sins and allow us an eternity with God. They believe that he is the Son of God.
Muslims believe that Jesus was only a prophet. They believe that Muhammad was God's most high prophet.
The Christian view is that Jesus was not a prophet, he was the son of God. In Islam, both Jesus and Muhammad are considered prophets.
Muhammad is generally not discussed in Christianity. This does not mean he is viewed negatively. However, Muhammad is viewed as the last prophet in Islamic culture while Christianity ends with Jesus Christ as the Son of God.
