President Cleveland agreed to Labor Day because of the many protests during the 50s which resulted in a day for rest during the year. Many protesters even died to create the holiday we call Labor Day. President Cleveland almost created a holiday to commerate the protesters that died to create Labor Day, it would be called Remmenence Day.
