Those buttons are sewn on with thread. You would need to cut them off.

Witth the ign on, push the OFF and WARM buttons in together , hold, then release and read the codes hold down the OFF and WARM buttons of the a/c panel with ign on, release buttons after double 8's are seen , then read codes.

This is not an easy look to pull off. If you must wear a black dress with tight blue jeans, go for a shorter dress with less in the front.
Pull lanyard off, turn key on and push start stop buttons three times
Hold alt+shift+del to do a full reboot. If that doesn't fix it, pull the battery for a minute and put in it.
Hold the two buttons down (simultaneously) that are below the activation button. Pull the activation button out as you are holding the buttons in/ Remove the small screw and replace batteries. The entire end (activation button & twist grip) come off as one piece. Make sure to push the the two buttons WAY down. Hold the two buttons down that are on either side (make sure to push the the two buttons WAY IN) at the same time. The two buttons are located above and below the LCD screen. Simultaneously pull on the small end (referred to as the "SLAM" button in Leap Frog diagrams, it is also the RIGHT END as you look at the LCD display). It will pop off. Be sure to push the buttons WAY IN as you pull on the end so you do not break them; they are plastic and all that holds the end on. Use a screwdriver to remove the small screw inside and replace the AAA batteries.
Toggle buttons turn something on or off. Good examples are the Bold, Italic and Underline buttons. When they are on, their particular formatting is used and when they are off, that formatting is not used.
