Henry wanted a son to secure the succession, but Anne had only given birth to a daughter. Jane Seymour had caught the eye of the King, and he wanted to replace Anne with Jane. Therefor Anne was found guilty of adultery and witchcraft (accusations that were most likely false), and beheaded.

First reason was-She has "failed" to give him a son.Secondly he got tired of her and her temper which he liked at first. He definitely did not respect her and deep down blamed her for getting rid of his first wife Katharine of Aragon whom he respected greatly. When Henry met Anne Boleyn she was young(his wife was not and also did not give him a son),Anne was smart and knew exactly what she "was doing"..yes Henry at first did love Anne but later on it went from love to the "need" to have a son.His true love was Jane Seymour..he loved her and respected her and she also gave him a much wanted son.
