Both Italy and Japan saw Germany as a powerful ally. Italy wanted to grab whatever it could. Japan was opportunistic in that they wanted to control the Pacific and believed that they had a much better chance while the U.S. and other allies were focused on Germany. Their ideologies were similar, with the Nazis (National Socialists) of Germany and Austria being racist and having a firm belief that the Aryan race was far superior to all others, and the Japanese believing that the purity of their ancestry would give them the ability to deliver a war that the impure citizens of the Allied nations would not be able to endure.

September 27, 1940
Shared expansion interests with Germany and Italy. Both opposed Britain and France. Germany thought Japan was a good ally.
They both didn't want their people to die in a war against Germany. They also believed they could become rulers of the world.
Axis: Germany, Japan, Italy Allies: America, England, France, Australia etc.
The United States joined the allies(britain, France, etc.) as opposed to the Axis powers(Germany, Italy, Japan, etc)
Japan was already fighting against China and had an alliance with Germany and Italy, but Japan's entry into World War 2 did not come until December of 1941 when Japan attacked and/or invaded US, British, and Dutch territories in the Pacific and Asia.
Italy and Japan had agreements to join with Germany in WW2.Some other countries also assisted Germany in attacking Russia as they were fearful of such a powerful neighbour. These included Finland, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.
It sided with Germany and Austria-Hungary
they had joined with Italy because Italy said that they would help them.....
Before the war, Germany, Italy and Japan had formed a pact opposing the Communist International, which was Stalin's tool to spread communism throughout the world. Japan actually ended up aiding Germany very little during the war, and decided to disregard the pact and not fight against the USSR (after a short round of skirmishes that saw Japan lose badly). When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, it was Germany and Italy who declared war on the US as a way of showing solidarity with Japan with the hopes that Japan would aid Germany against the USSR (it never materialized).
There was no Austria-Hungary in WWII, Germany conquered both of them by force; and Italy and Germany were allied
November 6, 1937 is when Italy joined the Anti-Comintern Pact, forming the Axis Powers.
When the empire of Japan landed surprise attack on Pearl Harbour , it prompted US to join allies against the Axis powers i.e countries like Germany, Japan, Italy, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
Firstly, Germany was not attacked on two fronts like in World War I because Germany signed a treaty with the Soviet Union not to attack each other for an amount of time, and Germany and the USSR would split Poland. The US also did not join WW2 until much later.
On December 8, 1941, following the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States declared war on the Empire of Japan. Following the U.S declaration against Japan, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States.
No. However, a couple of its oil tankers were torpedoed off the Caribbean coast by Nazi submarines, prompting Mexico to join the war against Germany, Italy and Japan.
Germany may have defeated England. Japan would occupy the pacific ocean.
The Axis Powers was a military alliance during WW2 (1939-1945) consisting of Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. The three major Axis powers were Germany, Japan, and Italy, which signed a Tripartite Pact on September 27, 1939. The entire Axis Powers alliance was disolved in 1945 at the end of WW2.
In the 1879, the Dual alliance (Germany and Austria) was made and then Italy joined in 1882 which made the Triple alliance.
Hitler had promised Italian dictator Benito Mussolini and his facist Italy, a place of power in the new 3rd Reich, once the Nazis took over the world, Hitler also used Italy as a means to control all of the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe and Noth Africa, Italy was a key ally to Germany in Hitler's theroetical conquest of the world along with Imperial Japan
Japan was a participant in both World Wars.
Japan had an alliance with Germany, as both countries had interests that conflicted with Russia. It made sense for Japan to join the Axis Powers during World War 2.
They didn't. The Americans participated in World War 2 mainly because of the Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. Japan was part of the Axis along with Germany and Italy while the U.S. sided with France and Great Britain.
