Japan started because a member of the Wu Clan got in trouble with the Dowager Emperess of Han China and led a bunch of Lhi people from Jiangsu to Kyushu in 175 BC and started the Duchy of Hyuga. His name was Hong Yi, but the Jomon people said it as Honinigi. His great-grandson was Jimmu Tennu, the first emperor of Japan. He brought a bunch of steel weapons and new ways to grow rice. Today he is worshipped as a god by Shinto. He had a lot of trouble with the Proto-Korean kingdom of Izumo in western Honshu.
