Wiley Wiggins (who played Mitch Kramer) has said in an interview that friction between Shawn Andrews and the rest of the cast and crew stemmed from Andrews being a bit too "Hollywood" and improvising many of his lines even after cementing the script in read-throughs and practise shots, wasting shooting time that they didn't have. It could have stemmed from this, or equally just because they were two Alpha Male types.

apparently shawn andrews took himself pretty seriously, and he would constantly improvise lines which wasted time on set
