The Jewish did not die peacfully in concentration camps, they were put through hell to get to that point. litteraly they were tortured at some point to dead. it wasnt peacefully. unless you call a bullet wound to the head peacfully
Yes, Jews were systematically rounded up and sent to extermination camps.
concentration camps are prisons in a sense where as extermination camps are like death row u will certainly die in a extermination camp.
They were killed.
Extermination camps played the key role in the Holocaust, as they enabled the Nazis to gas and cremate victims - in order words, to dispose of them systematically, quickly and "industrially". Before that the Nazis had relied on mass open air shootings and mass graves.
The largest group was gassed in extermination camps. Many Jews were killed in mass open-air shootings. Other Jews were sent to extermination camps (death camps). Many were gassed on arrival and other were worked to death. And the Jews would be starved, frozen, or shot on the spot. Many died of starvation and/or disease in ghettos and camps.
Auschwitz was an extermination camp, NOT a labor camp. All they did was bring in Jews, cut their hair, then put them in line to die.
They were worked to death, tortured, or sent into gas chambers to die.
Thousands if not millions did but many survived the concentration camps. Of course not all Jews lived in Nazi controlled territory either.
In May 1942 Gabin's Jews were deported to the Chelmno extermination camp. Sossia, Isadore and four of their sons were killed..
Sent them to concentration camps to work and eventually die. At the concentration camps the Nazi soliders would put Jews in Gas CHambers, Smelting rooms, or have a firing squad kill them.
They put Jews in camps where they where sent to die, just because they were Jewish.
In this answer the term death camp is taken to mean extermination camp, and not simply a concentration camp with a high death toll. All extermination camps used some inmates as labourers to help with corpse disposal and some other tasks. There were two dual camps of this kind:Auschwitz - A part of Auschwitz-Birkenau (also referred to as Auschwitz II) was an extermination camp, while Auschwitz I, III and the satellite camps were extremely harsh concentration camps.Majdanek - This camp was one of the very worst camps. It was both a very harsh concentration and it alsohad a section that was used for extermination.
