yes, she did. she tried to swing over the river when it was raining and hit her head on a rock. but they don't exactly show it. Jesse comes back from a visit to the museum with his teacher and finds out

they don't exactly show it but basically what happens is that she tried to go alone to Terabithia while Jesse went to the museum with his favourite teacher. But the rope she was swinging from broke and she fell into the river and hit her head on a rock.

∙ 11y agoLeslie was based on a real life person. Lisa Hill, who was the authors best friend. She was struck by lightning and died at a young age. I think that the author wrote this story as a way to cheer up her son while he was going through the pain of losing his best friend.

∙ 10y agoLeslie does die in the book "Bridge to Terabithia" We know this because there's the funeral at the end which was held at her parents home in the living room i believe. The whole family went and Jess was heartbroken it was around the same time that he dumped out his watercolors she got him for Christmas into the river near the bridge.
