Mount st Helens is in the Ring of Fire. The same processes that produce volcanoes in the Ring of Fire are active elsewhere, but they are more active around the Pacific Rim.
On a continental plate. Mount Saint Helens is on a convergent plate boundary. The Juan de Fuca plate is being pushed under the North American Plate.
Yes, Mt. St. Helens is considered a very active volcano, and is constantly monitored by a variety of scientific instruments and by observation.
Apo is a volcano which last erupted in 1924 i believe and has three peaks , SW being the tallest.
Mount St Helens was discovered by HMS Discovery, commanded by Commander George Vancouver on May 19th,1792. He named the mountain after the British diplomat, Alleyne Fitzherbert, 1st Baron St Helens, on October 20th 1792.In 1829, Hall J Kelly, started a campaign to rename the Cascade Range, (which Mount St Helens is part of) to the Presidents Range, each major mountain being named after a former president. In his plan Mount St Helens would have become Mount Washington.
yellow stone is a supervolcanowhereas mount saint helens isnt... yellowstone is 1000 times more powerful than mount saint helens which is 2500 times smaler. as yellow stone is a supervolcano and it emmited 240 cubic miles of rock, this means a supervolcano like yellow stone if it erupts can change the temperature of the earth as the debris released blocks the sunlight...potentially causing an iceage with global consuqunces... mount saint helens cant do this and will just cause damage to the place it arupted in the US...
On May 18, 1980. The previous major eruption was in 1800, with smaller releases of steam and ash from 1831 to 1857.
what does viscosity mean? The resistance of a fluid to being changed (thickness)

Although minor steam explosions may have occurred in 1898, 1903, and 1921, Mount St. Helens gave little or no evidence of being a volcanic hazard for more than a century after its eruption in 1857.

It is known that Mount Hekla had been dormant for at least 250 years when it erupted explosively for the first recorded time in 1104. This being the case, it has been around at least that long.
