Why did Nintendo make Primids on Super Smash Bros Brawl?

they wanted to make a whole new adversary to use in Brawl. since all the other bad guys are playeable and have been used countless times, they wanted a new one. so they came up with the sub-space thing. Primids are like the soldiers of subspace.
