They havnt, yesterday i bought the ultima II glowtion brightening moisturiser. >>>>>> : They are making the other Skin Care products, but every place I have looked for Ultima II MAKEUP IN AURORA BEIGE they are out of it and some have told me that Revlon is discontimuing the makeup - the only colors have found on line are tuscan beige (too dark) and Manila (I have no idea what color that is?) but none ave aurora beige - all the sites say "unavailable."

∙ 13y agoApparently because it was a good product (I know sarcasm isn't all that helpful). But seriously, every time I find a Revlon product I like, they discontinue it. It's become so standard that whenever I try one of their products and really like it it disappears on me that I will no longer buy their products -- I don't need the disappointment down the line. New super-whammy Revlon blah de blah?... I don't care, if I try it and like it, they'll just pull it anyway.... so there's no point in even trying their products as far as I'm concerned.
They pulled the Glowtion foundation (which was IMO pretty darned perfect), then they pulled the lipglide lip gloss (actually fixed my peeling lips).... 2 of the best things they've made and I'm done ..... I'm tired of searching for alternatives to products I liked because the companies couldn't be bothered to promote a great product so that it would sell.

The annals of history. Ultima II was discontinued many years ago everywhere except Asia, where a few of the lines they sold are still popular. Wonderwear, however, isn't one of them. You can probably find some of this on eBay but it'll be really old, and foundation does not improve with age. I recommend getting color-matched to either Elizabeth Arden, Lancome or Estee Lauder; those are the three brands that are most similar to Ultima II.

I also have been a big fan of the Ultima II Wonderwear makeup and fortunately when I saw it disappearing off the online sites, I did some bulk purchasing and have a few bottles in my stock. I do agree it is the best for natural appearance with good coverage and super staying power. I've tried a bunch of other foundations at very high prices and the staying power doesn't hold a candle to the Ultima II. I have yet to try it due to my little stock pile, but others that can't find the Ultima, have recommended the Estee Lauder Doublewear which they review as being the closest to the Ultima. The comparable shade in the EL would be Ecru. Good luck.

Ultima II was made by Revlon. A long time ago, Revlon was still owned by Charles Revson, who founded the company. He wanted a makeup to sell in drugstores, which was Revlon, and one to sell in department stores, which was Ultima II. In the 1980s, Revlon was purchased by a corporate raider named Ron Perelman. When a company is purchased in a "leveraged buyout," companies do whatever they can to make money to pay off the huge loans they took out to buy the place. Perelman decided to quit selling makeup in department stores (cosmetics counters are very expensive to operate, which is one of the reasons department store makeup is so expensive) and put Ultima II in drugstores. They ran into a second problem: drugstores only have so much room for makeup. Drugstores rent out their shelf space, and by the time Perelman decided to bring Ultima II into drugstores the shelves were already taken. So...take space away from the Revlon brand to fit in this new one, or just get rid of Ultima II? They chose the second path. Ultima II is still available in China, where it is popular--so if you see it at an online store, it's coming from there.
