How was Stanley punished in the book Holes?

he got the curse because his great great grandfather fell in love with a women but so was another man who was a lot older than them both and the young man went to madam zerony for some advise she advised him to go to London like her nephew but he didn't listen so she gave him a piglet to carry up the mountain every single day and sing a song to it but madam zerony also told him to come back for her and carry her up the mountain (because she is in a wheelchair) and if he forgot his family would be cursed for ever when he gave the fully grown pig to his love he realised that she was only a pretty face and gave her the pig in frustration and he took madam zerony's advise and went to London forgetting to carry her up the mountain.

and there you have it how Stanley yelnats and his family got the curse
