Why did bungie stop making halo?
When Microsoft bought Bungie they also bought Halo, and so when Bungie split from Microsoft they no longer had the rights to make the games. But Microsoft still wanted Halo games so they had Bungie make Halo 3, ODST and Reach, this is also the reason why Ensemble Studios was allowed to make Halo Wars, Microsoft 'chose' them to make a Halo game. Now Bungie are done with Halo and are working on a new IP for Activision, but again, Microsoft still wants more Halo games, so they created 343 Industries to hold the responsibility of future Halo projects.

Well, They will make Halo Reach in 2010 and halo ODST already came out. They say that Halo Reach will be the last Halo game Bungie will make but don't be worried. Halo Wars was not made by Bungie . It was made by another company that Bungie gave permission to let them make Halo Wars. I think. It's what I heard by ALOT of people. So it's possible that Bungie may let them continue making Halo games with Master Chief this is a different person then the stuff up top but bungee is no longer making halos Microsoft is taking over fully

Halo 3 is so fun because the game company that created Halo, Bungie, received mass amounts of funding from Microsoft to make Halo 3, therefore it ended up having so many fun extra things (forge, theater, file share).

You should, sadly, consider buying a Xbox 360 because Microsoft and Bungie are not planning to let Halo out for any other console other then Xbox and Xbox 360. I have a ps3 and i am a halo fan but thas why i saved up for both consoles.. sorry :(

Yes Bungie did rate Halo Reach wrong. Its supposed to be "T". Also Bungie messed up on Modern warfare 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood. In all three of the games there does not have any blood in them.

Technically, Halo Reach is the sixth game made in the franchise. However, if you're talking about an actual game called Halo 6, then there won't be one. Bungie and Microsoft's last game together is Halo Reach. Bungie decided to team up with Blizzard instead. Since both companies own rights to the game, there will not be anymore Halos forthcoming.
Why is it that when you try to access to halo waypoint by ensemble studios it says the server is down?
Because the old Halo Waypoint was ran by Bungie, as Bungie is no longer apart of the Halo series after Reach, Microsoft, under the Halo-specific division called 343 studio's now run it, and they completely redid the entire thing. You are also required a Gold membership to access 98% of its best features outside of a few trailers. It should be up now, they were performing maintenance on it.

no its a xbox only game they wil not release it to ps3 to make more poepl buy xbox 360 and bungie is stoping halo and being shut down so thers no chance. That could not be more wrong, no, sorry to say halo will not be going to ps3 anytime soon because Microsoft has exclusive rights to the game and franchise. Bungie is NOT being shut down however and have 2 more games coming out very soon and even Microsoft is in negotiations to make a movie over Halo. It is possible that it will be ported to playstation someday but it would take an awfull lot of money for Microsoft to give that up.
