Hitler believed that children were the future. He anticipated that the Nazi regime would last for a thousand years, and the indoctrination of children into the Nazi mindset was no small part of it. By impressing National Socialist values on the young, it was hoped that they would retain these values throughout their lives and go on to indoctrinate their own children in the same way.
