because they wanted too. they love Britain. comment
They opposed it because it was an indirect tax on them. The English would tax the makers of the goods in England, who would then raise the prices of the goods before selling it to the American colonists.
These taxes were examples of taxation of the colonists who had no representation in Parliament.
By pooping in their diapers
Because they were sick and tired of paying taxes.
how did the townshed acts effect the colonist

Townshend Acts : Plato (:
The colonist said that the Britain had no rights to tax them.
in these acts the british leaders tried to avoid some of the promblems the stamp acts caused.
They boycotted the British imports
One method the Colonists used to protest the Townshend Acts was boycotting British goods. There were riots as well. These acts began in 1767.
The Townshend Acts, The British Government called for new taxes in 1776. SO Parliament passed the Townshend Acts. The Townshend Acts said that the colonist had to pay taxs on all tea, paper, glass, lead, and paint imported from Britain. SO basically the Townshend acts made people pay taxes on certain items, people hated the new taxes and they could not afford them. So The Colonist Buycotted the tea (refused to buy it) Which lead to other events but that was mostly all about the townshend acts taxes boycott which i think it lead to the tea act all taxes where off exept for the tea.
all of these were reasons for colonial resistance
