King Edward VI of England became king on 28th January 1547, aged 9.

He became king because his farther, King Henry VIII died of old age at the age of 56. The eldest boy will then become the king, if there is no boys it will be the eldest girl. If there are no girls or boys it will be the closest boy relitive then if there are no boy relitives it will be the closest girl relitive.

He died on 6th July 1553 aged 15.

He was just 15. He became King at the age of 9. He was succeeded by his haf sister Mary, but not until Lady Jane Grey had lost her head.
