so that they could get animals to eat off and to get money when they trade
I think that Europeans would be thrilled to be able to do business with a city of great wealth in Africa. Great wealth creates great economic opportunities.
Try Woolworth's. I think I have seen ant colonies there.
They thought they were helping to civilize the African people by influencing them because the Europeans thought they were the superior race. They thought it was their duty to teach the inferior races.
i think it was because the soliders were mad and they wanted 1) freedom 2) power and 3) money from other countries so they could become more powerful
Many Africans were unhappy because Europeans were taking control, but mainly it was about the Europeans, who were fighting about who would get the countries in Africa... this mainly happened in 1914. I only know this because I'm doing the same thing in the 7th grade in Social Studies. (so... I'm pretty sure it's the right answer)

I think that African-Americans were brought over on boats and were captured by the Europeans.
Europeans never thought to conquer the United States. The only example I can think of is the War of 1812, when the United States and Great Britain went to war for the second time, as the US wanted to take Canada. Early in the war, Britain was on the defense, but as time progressed, they decided to just try to take the colonies back as well, as they had lost the colonies in 1783 due to the American Revolution. However, both sides proved unsuccessful and there was no victor to the war.
