I personally love hollyleaf to bits, and here's my reasoning: Ashfur tried to kill Firestar. Hollyleaf killed Ashfur. Now hm... let me see: Hawkfrost tried to get Brambleclaw to kill Firestar. Brambleclaw killed Hawkfrost. Does everyone think he's evil? No. He's a hero. And, Hollyleaf was cut to pieces because her very existence broke the warrior code. Her life was falling to parts around her, and she couldn't do anything about it.

Hollyleaf ran away from ThunderClan because she was struggling with guilt and shame over keeping secrets about her true parentage, feeling unable to face her Clanmates after the truth was revealed. She believed that her presence would only bring shame and disruption to ThunderClan, and so she made the decision to leave.
