There was a big earthquake in Japan on Friday the 11th of march. it was caused by a destructive plate boundary. the pacific plate moved down under the Eurasian plate. That caused a lot of pressure in the epicenter what was about 200km far from Tokyo. The result was an earthquake. the earthquake caused a tsunami. It was up to 10 m high waves destroyed thousands of houses in the coast of japan.
