I think it is because before, the British and Patriots were determined, but then British started to lose their advantages and surrendered to the Patriots who were willing to fight till the end. However, the British started to lose hope.

It might have taken more than two years to agree on the terms of the Treaty of Paris because it took much longer for news to travel from England to the colonies than it does today.

Because I said so! OMG JK sorry. Because British and Americans Because the war was 7 years long and once the Battle of Yorktown was over and was won by the Patriots, the British entered peace and talked with America.
