Because of the writers strike in January, no new episodes were being written which ment no new episodes until Febuary or March.
No, although Smallville's ninth season had ended on May 14, 2010 it was not canceled, Smallville had another season, a tenth season which premiered on September 24, 2010 however Smallville officially ended with a tenth season and they aired its series finale titled "Finale" as a hour long episode on May 13, 2011 on The CW Network.

Season 8 is already finished,so is season 9.If you think i am not telling the truth go to u tube and type smallville season 8 episode 1 and smallville season 9 episode 1
its due to be shown around September this year they wait so long so they can show it as cheap as possible
The average nowadays is Smallville will have 22 episodes however there are some exceptions such as the 1st season only had 21 episodes, the 2nd season had 23 episodes and the 7th season had 20 episodes.
They are not going to make an 11 season in smallville because this TV shows is seapost to show the years before Clark becomes superman and in season 10 the last episode he becomes superman so that means the show is over and that is why they are not making an 11 season in smallville and im very mad about that. Season 10 was the last in the tv series they did continue in digital comic book series as to if they made a 12th season I don't think so
No, Kristin Kreuk, the actress that plays Lana Lang on Smallville was not fired. Her contract was expiring and she elected to not to renew it so they had her leave early during Season 7 so that they could bring back the Lana character for a few episodes in Season 8.
http://www.bigvidpro.com/ this show rocks!! but you have to wait 54 minutes after you have watched 74 minutes of smallville an hour so it is free, but if you want to make it without the limits u have to pay so then it won't be free so just go to that website and get busy watching man!!!OR woman!!
The CW has renewed it for another season - Season 9 starts filming in July and we'll see it hit the TV in September.
Well.. considering that Fox8 has got the Australian rights to Smallville now and are only up to Season 6 currently.. I'd say a while.. According to DVD retailers though, They are expecting Season 8 on DVD before Christmas this year so hopefully..
The official statement from E4 (as of April 08) is "at present we have not confirmed scheduling plans for season 7 of SMALLVILLE."... so not much help... WB is said to have the UK DVD release of season 7 slated for September though, so that would put it as probably airing later Summer/early Autumn 08.
