Itachi Killed clan coz, it was an order givn by the 3rd Hokage as he was afraid tht the Uchiha clan will break out a riot & conquer the Hidden Leaf Village. Itachi accepted the Mission undr 1 condition, tht ws "nt to kill his little brother". Itachi lovd his brother sooo much, he wntd him to become stronger thn Itachi. After eliminating the whole clan Itachi lied to sasuke to build hatred in Sasuke so he wud follow it & become strongr. Then Itachi ws givn a new Mission, tht was to "leak out the info about the AKATUKI". so he did it. But the Elders, Hokage & Danzo were the only ones who knew truth about Itachi in the leaf. They Kept it as a secret for the whole time. Itachi Returnd to the leaf aftr the 3rd's death, coz only to remind Danzo & the elders tht he ws alive & they Stil shud keep it as a secret.
Itachi fought sasuke almost BLIND during their last battle. Even thn Itachi nvr stoppd lovin his brothr.
