When Jesus said this when he said "bread" he meant food. You CAN live on food through this mortal life but when you come face to face with your creator and father, what will you do? What will you say that will let you in? "Oh God I got strait A's in high school," "God I was great at football." Do you think he will say "oh your cool come on in"? You WILL die spiritually and eating bread will not help. Jesus is the bread of LIFE and is our bridge to heaven.
