Why is the book kite runner called kite runner?

Did you not read this book?? He of course named it this because of the Kite fights in Afghanistan. In the book Amir flew his kite and he had Hassan get the kite when it finally fell, unfortunately Hassan was raped when he went to retrieve the kite and this was heavily focused on in the book.
