My family turns gray as teenagers. Why do we get black curly hair in our 60's?

Hair color and texture can change as we age due to a decrease in melanin production and changes in hair follicle structure. It is normal for hair to become more coarse and curly with age, as the number of pigment-producing cells decreases over time. This can result in darker, curlier hair in your 60s even if your hair was originally gray.

What do you think was the most lasting effect of the counterculture of the 1960's?

My vote's on either the psychedelic influence on music or the acceptance of guys with long hair, or in a broader sense, the acceptance of people who are as different as guys with long hair were in the '60s.

What did most people have in the 60s was it long hair or short hair?

In the 1960s, long hair became a popular style for both men and women, especially among the younger generation and counterculture movements. This trend was associated with rebellion and the rejection of traditional norms. Short hair was also common among older generations and those who preferred a more conservative look.
