Once the US joined the war, for the most part, yes, most Americans did support the effort against Hitler. There were small fringe groups like the German American Bund that had pro-Germany and/or pro-Nazi leanings.
He was in the German army in World War I, later gaining political support in his descent to becoming the world's most notorious genocidal psychopathic dictator.

Most likely all of them, except perhaps for Ludendorff in the beginning, before he became disenchanted with Hitler and Nazism. Although Hindenburg was forced into sharing power with Hitler, he had no liking for him, and described him as the most common little man he had ever known.
Hitler was not admired and respected by all German people. However, due to his heroic achievements during war, most Germans believed in him.
