Could be a faulty fuel pump or the timing belt let go. That 2.4 engine has a timing belt and under normal driving conditions the belt should be replaced every 120K miles. In severe driving conditions every 90K miles. That engine is also an interference engine which means the engine may have suffered major damage if the timing belt in fact let go. Good luck.
