The Ancient Egyptians built the pyramids to put their enbalmed pharaohs into so that their graves and tombs would keep their bodies safe.
yes because the pyramids have pharaohs bodies inside the pyramid in a tomb and with the pharaohs are their treasures they want to bring in the after life
Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs wanted such big Pyramids because it was a sign of their power. They wanted everyone to know what they could do. Pharaohs were recognized as Gods in Ancient Egypt. So when they had massive structures the pharaohs wanted them to last for eternity. When they built them they forced everyone to work on them. It was an honor to help build a pyramid. Not only was it forced but only the kings highest members of the family were able to bury the pharaoh. The Pharaohs were buried with gold and all the necessities needed to live in their after life. So pretty much because they can and it shows how powerful they are the more unique and the bigger the higher a pharaoh was believed to be.:)
The pharaohs didn't want their tombs to be robbed. Sometimes the tombs still got robbed because some of the robbers was one of the people who built the pyramids.
It was part of their service to the liege lord, who in turn gave that service to his lord, until it reaches the pharoah ordering the construction. Research feudalism; that will help explain the process more thoroughly.
They built false entrances and doors, along with traps, to protect the tombs of pharaohs from tomb-robbers; without these traps and false entrances, tomb-robbers would take the valuable artifacts that the pharaohs were buried with.

they didnt care about them and they needed a place to keep the pharaohs after they had died
The Ancient Egyptians designed the pyramids primarily as tombs for their pharaohs and intended them to be secure resting places for the deceased, rather than places for public access. They often sealed these tombs to deter grave robbers, indicating a desire for privacy and protection of the burial site. While some priests and officials may have had access for rituals, the general populace was not meant to enter the pyramids.
