What is drdram?

Direct Rambus DRAM or DRDRAM (sometimes just called Rambus DRAM or RDRAM) is a type of synchronous dynamic RAM. RDRAM was developed by Rambus inc., in the mid-1990s as a replacement for then-prevalent DIMM SDRAM memory architecture.

What is RD RAM?

It is a type of memory. RDRAM (Rambus DRAM) is a type of SDRAM (synchronous dynamic RAM) designed by the Rambus Corporation. It is a type of DDR (Dual Data Rate) memory. It was supported by Intel for use with Intel processors from year 2000 to 2003 after which Intel started supported the standard DDR memory modules instead of RDRAM modules. Since then its usage and market has significantly reduced with standard DDR and then DDR2 picking up market share. Rambus has been in fight with various memory vendors for patents and royalty payments for many years . - Neeraj Sharma

What are the different RAM Packages?

SDRAM, DDR and Rambus DRA, are the three different types of RAM packages. When shopping for different RAM packages, the type of RAM you purchase does not really matter.

What happened to RAMBUSI thought it was going to be the next big thing in memory?

RAMBUS seemed to kill itself by costing way too much when compared to normal DDR DIMMs. You can still buy RAMBUS memory, it will cost you out the butt. A gig of RAMBUS Ram is around 100-200 a stick.

When was Rambus created?

Rambus was created in 1990.

What was first developed for the Nintendo 64 game system and was later adapted for use in personal computers?

RDRAM (rambus dynamic RAM) was first developed for the Nintendo 64.

What are the three types of ram boards?

SIMM (Single inline memory module), DIMM (Dual inline memory module), and RIMM (Rambus inline memory module)

Can you use Rambus memory in a Pentium three computer if yes what are the models to buy?

This would all depend on the socket number of the motherboard. Also if the memory it already has, has the 'slots' directly in the centre of the memory stick. Usually rambus, is used on socket 423 boards, and some Pentium 4's (socket 478's). If the memory stick has one slot in it, then no you cannot, as this is DDR ram. If it has a slot in the middle, and again at one end, then again you cannot as this is SD Ram. Rambus has 2 slots directly in the middle. This is the easiest method of finding out what memory your computer has. Hope this helps be safe

How is RAM organized?

A common method to random access memory organization is by technology type and clocking. These include RDRAM (RAMBUS), DDR, DDR2, DDR3, and GDDR5 memory types, for example.
