Rome is named after Romulas the founder of Rome. This was a legend.Once upon a time there was a king who ruled over a small city near the Tiber River in Ancient Rome. His younger brother overthrew him and drove away the rest of the royal family. Later on the older brother's daughter has two children, Romulas and Remus. The younger brother was afraid that the boys would claim the throne. So he gave orders to throw the twins into the Tiber River. But the boys didn't drwon. A wolf rescued them. Then a Shepard took the boys home. The boys helped their grandfather become king again. then romulas and remus founded a city on the hill they were rescued. Romulas and Remus fought over naming the city, but in the end Romulas killed Remus, So the city was named Rome after its first king, Romulas.
