they because their feet hurt
they were sent all the way to Oklahoma on The Trail of Tears.
The government created and enforced many "trails of tears". The one that history records made most famous was that of the Cherokee. Forced to walk thousands of miles from Georgia to Oklahoma, four thousand Indians are thought to have died. This removal was against the findings of the Supreme Court of the United States who said the Cherokee would have to agree with the removal. They never did.
During the Trail of Tears, the Cherokee people were forced to walk approximately 800 miles from their homeland in the southeastern United States to Indian Territory in present-day Oklahoma. The journey was grueling and many Cherokee died along the way due to harsh conditions, disease, and starvation.
Cherokee of North Georgia were farmers and wore the clothes of many Europeon immigrants. When they were going to be moved by the Indian removal at they organized as a nation and then were removed by treaty to Oklahoma. Other than reacting to property being taken under false pretensions and fighting legally, including law suits going all the way to the supreme court, the Cherokee were willing to assimilate the European culture.
It is called The Trail of Tears, where the Cherokee Indians were taken when forced to move out of what is now Cherokee county.it went through lots of states it started in North Carolina and ended in Oklahoma. Lots of Cherokee died on the way to Oklahoma and lots got sick and murdered even it was cold and miserable that's why its sad. Many died and were full of misery,

The Cherokee are from lands that are now part of the USA. They were originaly a powerful tribe in the region of North and South Carolina and moved successfully to adopt many elements of the surrounding white culture following the American Revolution. During the Presidency of Andrew Jackson, they were forced to give up their lands and relocate to what is now the state of Oklahoma, but was then called the Indian Territory. Cherokee lawyers appealed the order to mive through the courts and the US Supreme Court foud in their favor, but Jackson refused to comply with their decision. The move from North Carolina to the Indian Territory is called the Trail of Tears because so many died along the way due to the haste required and the poor support offered by government officials. Some Cherokee ressisted the relocation, took to the hills, and remained in the Carolinas. As a result, the Cherokee now exist as two Tribes, the Eastern Cherokee and the Western Cherokee.
The Cherokee Indians were treated very BADLY! Many of them died along the way.
It began with the removal of the native Americans off their ancestral lands from Georgia to Oklahoma. Men, women, and children were walked to Oklahoma and died on the way from disease, starvation, and left to die in the snow.
They were located in the Eastern Woodlands. Also known as Western Tennessee, and Eastern Kentucky.Until president Andrew Jackson made them go on the Trail of Tears. They ended up in Northeastern Oklahoma. Now they're located in Oklahoma.
Most Cherokee no longer trusted the white man, white government (The USA or its Citizens), some Cherokee lead war parties against any US Citizen they could find. Also, the tribe was split in two...the faction that agreed or was forced to move to new lands outside the then boundaries of the United States (most of the Cherokees), and the faction that refused to go and fled to the mountains to hide and escape the forced relocation. In addition, the Cherokee leaders who were educated in American law filed suit against the U.S. government, and after many years in court, the Supreme Court ruled that the Cherokee people were a separate nation and their laws and rights should have been respected. The U.S. government paid reparations to the surviving "official" members of the Cherokee Nation in both Oklahoma and North Carolina.
in Oklahoma, and Oklahoma is his favorite state by the way!
