∙ 7y agoThey were treated horribly. Once they became Christian they weren't allowed to leave the mission grounds. The 5-6 soldiers quartered at the mission would attack the women and beat the men. The padres didn't treat them very well either. On mission grounds today state historians have found mass Native American graves.
